Sled Hockey National Teams at Northtowns

Team USA beata Team Canada in a Sled Hockey Challenge at Northtowns Arena Thursday evening. The 4-3 score came after a 3-3 tie that went into overtime and an eventual shootout. Nikko Landerous fired the shot that brought the audience to it’s feet and brought the win to the USA.

Appearing for Team USA are Western New Yorker’s Adam Page, Lancaster; Brad Emmerson, Amherst; and Alex Alamone, Grand Island. All three play for the Buffalo Sabres Sled Hockey Team.

Game two will be played this evening (Friday, Feb. 24) at 8 p.m. and the final game in the series will be played Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m.

The series is the final set of games before the International Paralympic Committee Sledge Hockey World Championship to be held in Hamar, Norway from March 25 through April 2.
