Girl’s Hockey Day Set

USA Hockey has designated Sunday, October 2, as Girl’s Hockey Day throughout the United States. This is an opportunity to build awareness, celebrate and grow girl’s hockey.

Host sites are being sought for activities that would indice young and older girls to try ice hockey. In the past groups have held skating parties for girls, a mother/daughter day at the rink, Try Hockey for Free programs, women’s skills clinics and season kick-off parties.

If your organization is interested in being of the sites to host the inaugural Girls Ice Hockey Day or to obtain further information, go to

Trying hockey for the first time at the Katz Girls Clinic this spring.
